Danielle Bartlette

Danielle Bartlette is from Winnipeg, where she attended the Fine Arts (Honours) program at the University of Manitoba.  Bartlette has lived in Calgary since 2000 relocating overseas in 2005.  Living in Scotland has certainly played a part in the evolution of her work, as many pieces are commentaries on her environmental surroundings.

After settling back down in Calgary in 2007, Bartlette has since become an instructor of adult painting classes, as well as remaining an active artist in our community.

"My intent is to allow viewers a glimpse into my world without recreating events nor obvious narratives. I enjoy translating my personal experiences through colour and mood. It is certainly therapeutic when I am able to channel these energies and memories, observations and interpretations onto canvas as it allows for me to embellish on the side of sensuality."
